Structural engineering firm in Houston TX is hiring for Structural Steel Detailer / Checker with proficiency in AutoCAD and ability to follow instructions. Candidate with Building Information Modeling (BIM) experience is a plus. We will provide training on BIM software for structural steel.

Responsibilities and Duties
- Detailing projects including detailing project setup, answer/redirect RFIs between detailers and customer, review detailed shop drawings, issue IFC drawings.
- Check shop drawings
- Correspond with clients through emails and phone calls.
- Adheres to and has sound knowledge of all drafting department standards, policies and processes.
- Will be required to follow and be knowledgeable of all detailing standards, policies and procedures
- Responsible for completing jobs on time based on the project schedule
- Ability to work well in a team environment as well as independently
- Good planning and organizational skills required for fast paced environment
- Ability to work under pressure and adhere to strict deadlines• Willing to work overtime when requeste

Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum 3-year experience with structural steel detailing
- 3D modeling experience using Tekla structures is a plus
- Associates degree in drafting or related discipline
- Knowledgeable in Math and AutoCAD skills
