Shell, Chevron, Exxon gasoline 都是好油，各款Shell的油对德国车比较适用，milage也好。其中比如说Shell Plus的油比较适合 Volkswagen GTI. 德国车应尽量避免Sunoco Gas，里面的添加剂听说有导致引擎check engine灯亮的例子。
Costco的油其实很差。据说Costco都是从别家买的油，哪家便宜就买哪家的，所以可以想象gas quality不会太好。有人到Costco加油后，搞得车的check engine light灯亮，差点出去修。
Arco的油据说还行，因为属于BP(British Petroleum).
Fred Meyer和Safeway的油不好，mileage明显低很多，而且用了堵塞油路.
另外，关于Arco, Chevron, Shell gasoline的区别, 网上有人这样描述:
Chevron and Shell gas are tier 3 gas. It has more detergents in it. You can't tell the difference while driving, but if you did a check for carbon deposits using cheaper gas instead of the tier 3 gas, it would be much more significant. To combat this you can just use an engine cleaner, such as sea foam. You can pick one up at mostly all car stores, such as discount advanced auto parts. After many miles (50,000+) of using cheaper gas, the deposits will build, but can be cleaned.
So if you want to just make sure you engine is clean, use Chevron or Shell.
